Though like I said, it's hardly anything too serious. More a force of habit and caution which might not even be necessary than anything.

I realized the other day you can even change your username, so I could and perhaps should just play around with that more

On the contrary, if it's used for specific purposes, like posting to one or another thing anonymously, then it's more ambiguous than switching regularly

I don't know what it's like here, but people take you seriously if you use a real account! Anons are known for being mean and leaving cruel comments on the internet where I'm from.

And even a fake face is better than none!

I never used the internet much, but... I don't know that I think hard about who the person is behind a username (except a lot of people do show their face on the network)

But it's nice to recognize a name... and if they're ever mean to you, you know to keep away from that person online.
